Pacific Premier Bank no longer exists under its own name in QuickBooks, which is why so many of its customers are searching for a way to keep books current. Columbia Banking System (parent of Columbia Bank, formerly Umpqua) closed its roughly $2 billion acquisition of Pacific Premier Bancorp on September 2, 2025, and the systems conversion in January 2026 moved every account onto Columbia Bank. The old Pacific Premier connection stopped importing, and customers had to relink under Columbia Bank instead. Upload a Pacific Premier PDF statement to the converter at the top of this page and get the transactions into QuickBooks without waiting on a feed that may still be unsettled.

The converter turns a Pacific Premier PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the running total is checked against the statement before you export. This page covers how Pacific Premier accounts connected to QuickBooks, what the Columbia conversion changed, and when converting the PDF is the faster route.

A real .qbo file QuickBooks accepts

Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.

Reconciliation

Every total checked against the statement

The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.

Web Connect

A genuine .qbo, not a renamed CSV

Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.

OCR

Scans and phone photos read line by line

OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.

Volume

A year of statements in one batch

Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.

Locked files

Password-protected PDFs handled

Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.

Exports

Excel and CSV in the same download

One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.

How to convert your statement to QuickBooks

Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.

1

Upload the PDF statement

Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.

2

Review the reconciled rows

Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.

3

Import into QuickBooks

Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Does Pacific Premier Bank work with QuickBooks?

Yes, Pacific Premier Bank worked with QuickBooks through Direct Connect, Web Connect, and Express Web Connect, documented in its own Business e-Banking getting started guide. Direct Connect pulled transactions for you using a separate company ID and user ID, Web Connect let you download a .qbo file and import it, and Express Web Connect ran through your online banking login. After the September 2025 Columbia Banking System acquisition and the January 2026 conversion, those connections move to Columbia Bank. When the feed is down or you need older Pacific Premier statements, converting the PDF gets the transactions into QuickBooks right away.

Why is Pacific Premier Bank not connecting to QuickBooks?

Pacific Premier usually stops connecting because of the Columbia Banking System merger. Columbia closed the acquisition on September 2, 2025, retired the Pacific Premier brand, and converted accounts to Columbia Bank systems in January 2026. Columbia's own conversion instructions told QuickBooks users to back up the company file and deactivate Pacific Premier online banking connections by January 23, 2026, then reconnect on or after January 26, 2026 by searching for Columbia Bank, not Pacific Premier. Until you relink, imports fail. Converting the PDF statement avoids the relink and still lands the transactions in QuickBooks.

What happened to Pacific Premier Bank in the Columbia merger?

Columbia Banking System announced the all-stock acquisition of Pacific Premier Bancorp on April 23, 2025, valued at about $2 billion, and closed it on September 2, 2025. The combined company operates as Columbia Bank, with roughly $70 billion in assets across eight western states. Pacific Premier, an Irvine, California commercial bank with about $18 billion in assets that itself had acquired Opus Bank in 2020, was folded in. The core systems conversion ran in January 2026, which is when the QuickBooks connection had to move to Columbia Bank.

How long is Direct Connect down after the conversion?

Columbia's conversion guidance estimated that Direct Connect would be unavailable for about 5 to 14 business days after January 26, 2026, while Web Connect downloads carried no delay. Direct Connect users also received new login credentials separate from their online banking sign in. A multi day outage like that is exactly when converting a PDF statement keeps books moving, because the converter does not depend on the feed or on Intuit's aggregation settling back down after the cutover.

How do I download Pacific Premier transactions to QuickBooks?

Historically you signed in to Pacific Premier Business or Commercial Online Banking, opened Download Transactions, and chose the QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) format. After the conversion, that download moves to Columbia's Commercial Online Banking site. Import the file through Upload from file in QuickBooks Online, or File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files in QuickBooks Desktop. When the connection is mid relink or the download is limited, save the PDF statement and convert it instead.

How do I download a Pacific Premier Bank statement as a PDF?

Log in to online banking, open the statements or documents area, choose the account and the month you need, and save it as a PDF. Pacific Premier kept e-statements available online for up to 36 months, so older months are usually still there, and that history now sits in Columbia's online banking after the conversion. Keep your own copies in case an account moves during a system change. The converter reads any of these the same way, so an older statement and a current one both produce a clean .qbo file.

How do I import a Pacific Premier Bank statement into QuickBooks?

Convert the Pacific Premier PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and choose the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, go to File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to, then sends them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, exactly as a working feed would, without depending on a connection the Columbia conversion just re-pointed.

What a Pacific Premier Bank statement looks like to the converter

Pacific Premier statements convert cleanly whether they come from a business checking account, a commercial account, or an older Opus Bank account brought over in 2020. They list transactions in date order with a description and amount, separating deposits and credits from checks, withdrawals, and fees, with a beginning and ending balance summary. The converter strips out the summary boxes, fee tables, and inserts, so only real transactions reach your .qbo file, and it reads scanned or photographed statements through OCR the same way it reads a digital PDF.

When to convert versus connect the feed

Use a working feed under Columbia Bank for going forward activity once your account is relinked, since a live connection keeps QuickBooks current with little effort. Convert the PDF statement when the conversion has broken the connection, when Direct Connect is in its multi day outage, or when you need history the feed misses: statements older than the online window, opening balances for a new QuickBooks file, a catch up period, or a Pacific Premier branded statement from before the move to Columbia.

How accurate is the converted Pacific Premier Bank file?

Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a transaction costs far more time than it saves. The error usually surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, while you chase a few dollars across a long register. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line Pacific Premier printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview first, then export once the numbers tie out.
