SoFi does not offer a direct QuickBooks connection the way the big banks do, so getting SoFi transactions into your books usually means working from the statement. The converter at the top of this page takes a SoFi PDF and returns a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus Excel and CSV copies, with every transaction's date, description, and amount preserved.
Before it lets you export, the converter adds up the transactions it parsed and checks that total against the statement total, so the file you import reflects every line SoFi printed. Here is how to download a SoFi statement, when to convert versus connect, and how to import the result cleanly.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

SoFi does not support OFX Direct Connect for QuickBooks, so there is no built-in feed that pulls SoFi activity into your books automatically the way a major bank's connection does. Some accounting tools can scrape SoFi through an aggregator feed, but those connections drop often and bring in only recent activity. For reliable, complete history, you download the SoFi statement and convert it to a .qbo file, which is the dependable route for both catch-up work and ongoing months.
Sign in at sofi.com, open your Banking homepage, and click Statements to view and download monthly PDF statements by month and year. On the SoFi mobile app the statements live under the account's menu. SoFi also offers an Export Transactions option that produces a CSV covering up to the last two years, but for older periods, credit card, invest, or loan documents, the PDF statement under Documents is what you work from.
Convert the SoFi PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, Bank transactions, then Upload from file and select the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, go to File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to, then drops them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, exactly like a downloaded feed would.
SoFi exports checking and savings activity as a CSV covering up to about 24 months, but it does not produce a QuickBooks-ready .qbo file and does not connect through Direct Connect. That CSV also misses older periods and other account types. Converting the PDF statement to a .qbo file fills both gaps, because it turns any month SoFi has issued into a QuickBooks import rather than just the recent window the CSV export exposes.
SoFi keeps monthly PDF statements in online banking going back through the life of the account, well past the roughly two years its CSV transaction export covers. That difference is why converting matters: you can pull a statement from a year or two ago, convert it to QBO, and bring those transactions into QuickBooks even though the CSV download and any aggregator feed would never reach that far back.
Because SoFi has no Direct Connect, there is no clean feed to keep going forward, so converting the statement is the main method rather than a backstop. Convert each new monthly PDF as it posts to keep QuickBooks current, and convert older months when you are setting up a new QuickBooks file, catching up books, or backfilling a closed SoFi account. The converter handles every one of those the same way.
The converter handles SoFi Checking, SoFi Savings, and the SoFi Credit Card statements the same way, since each lists transactions in date order with a description and amount. SoFi often combines checking and savings into one statement, so when you convert it, confirm which account each transaction set belongs to before importing, so the right register in QuickBooks receives the right activity. Credit card statements import into the matching credit card account, not a bank account.
Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a SoFi transaction costs you far more time than it saves. The gap surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, when you are hunting a few dollars across a long list. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line SoFi printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview, then export with confidence.
