Stellar Bank is the Houston-based bank formed when Allegiance Bank and CommunityBank of Texas merged as equals, and that merger is the reason a lot of QuickBooks links to these accounts had to be rebuilt. Allegiance Bancshares and CBTX completed the merger of equals on October 1 2022 to form Stellar Bancorp, then moved both legacy banks onto one Stellar online banking platform on February 21 2023. Stellar's own guidance told Quicken and QuickBooks users to back up and download final transactions before 5:00 p.m. Central on February 17 2023, then deactivate and reactivate the connection on the new platform. Any feed left pointed at the old Allegiance or CommunityBank of Texas profile stopped working. While you sort the connection out, upload a Stellar Bank PDF statement to the converter at the top of this page and get the transactions back in a format QuickBooks accepts.
The converter turns a Stellar Bank PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the running total is checked against the statement before you export. Here is how Stellar accounts connect to QuickBooks, why the platform move broke feeds, and when converting the PDF is the faster route.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Yes. Stellar Bank works with QuickBooks. It supports a downloadable Web Connect (.qbo) file and an aggregated bank feed in QuickBooks Online, and business customers connect through Stellar's business online banking. The connection works once the account is linked to the Stellar Bank entry with your current credentials. The friction came from the February 2023 platform conversion: accounts that were set up under Allegiance Bank or CommunityBank of Texas had to be deactivated and reconnected under Stellar, and the bank warned that Express Web Connect feeds could be interrupted for three to five business days during the switch.
To reconnect, deactivate the old Allegiance or CommunityBank of Texas feed in QuickBooks, then add the account again under Stellar Bank. In QuickBooks Online, open the account, disconnect it, then add it back and search for Stellar Bank. In QuickBooks Desktop, deactivate bank feeds for the account, then set them up again under the Stellar connection using your online banking login. Stellar advised downloading a .qbo or .qfx backup before the cutover, because Intuit aggregation could pause for several business days, and it asked customers to review the register afterward for duplicate or missing transactions. If the relink stalls, convert the Stellar PDF statements for the gap so your books stay current.
Stellar Bank usually fails to connect because the account is still linked to a retired Allegiance or CommunityBank of Texas profile from before the February 2023 platform move, or because the Express Web Connect feed is in one of its periodic interruption windows. Until you deactivate the old feed and relink under Stellar Bank, downloads return nothing or throw a credentials error. Stellar runs on an Express Web Connect aggregation rather than a self-serve Direct Connect, so the feed can pause for a few business days while Intuit refreshes it. The fix is to reconnect under the Stellar entry. If the relink stalls or the first download is empty, convert the Stellar Bank PDF statement to a .qbo file with the tool above so you are not blocked.
Log in to Stellar Bank online banking, open the account, and use the export or download option, choosing the QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) format and a date range. Import the file in QuickBooks through Upload from file in QuickBooks Online, or File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files in Desktop. The live download usually reaches back only about 90 days, and transactions from before the February 2023 conversion may not be available to download at all, so older periods are often out of range. When the .qbo option is missing or the download comes back as Quicken QFX, save the PDF statement for that period and convert it instead.
Sign in to Stellar Bank online banking, open the account, and go to the statements or documents section to view your eStatements. Pick the month you need and save it as a PDF with the download or print option. Statements issued under the Allegiance Bank or CommunityBank of Texas name before the 2023 conversion may appear in a historical archive rather than the current list, so check there for older periods. Business users find statements inside the business banking portal. Whatever the source, the PDF you download converts the same way.
Convert the Stellar Bank PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and choose the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, go to File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to, then drops them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, exactly as a working feed would, without waiting on a reconnection or the aggregation refresh window.
Stellar Bank statements convert cleanly because the layout stays consistent month to month across its Houston and Beaumont-area business accounts. Personal and business checking statements list transactions in date order with a description and amount, separating deposits and credits from checks, withdrawals, and fees, with a daily balance summary. Commercial and analysis accounts add service-charge sections. The converter strips out the summary boxes, fee tables, and inserts, so only real transactions reach your .qbo file, and it reads scanned or photographed statements through OCR the same way it reads a digital PDF, including older statements printed under the Allegiance or CommunityBank of Texas names.
Use the Stellar feed for going-forward activity once the account is relinked and behaving, since it keeps QuickBooks current with little effort. Convert the PDF statement when a legacy Allegiance or CommunityBank of Texas connection is mid-move to Stellar, when the Express Web Connect feed is in an interruption window, when a download comes back as QFX instead of .qbo, or when you need history the feed misses: pre-conversion months, opening balances for a new QuickBooks file, a catch-up period, or a closed account.
Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a transaction costs far more time than it saves. The error usually surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, while you chase a few dollars across a long register. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line Stellar printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview first, then export once the numbers tie out.
Upload a PDF, see every transaction extracted in seconds. No card to try it.
