OceanFirst Bank just got a lot bigger, and a bigger bank usually means more disruption to a QuickBooks feed. The Toms River, New Jersey bank (NASDAQ: OCFC, founded in 1902) completed its merger with Flushing Financial on June 1, 2026, alongside a $225 million investment from Warburg Pincus, pushing the combined company to roughly $23 billion in assets. Flushing Bank now runs as a division of OceanFirst, and former Flushing accounts will move onto OceanFirst systems over the coming months. Whenever a bank changes systems like that, the cleanest way to get transactions into QuickBooks is to convert the statement. Upload an OceanFirst PDF at the top of this page to do exactly that.
The converter turns an OceanFirst PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the parsed total is checked against the statement total before you export. This page covers how OceanFirst accounts connect to QuickBooks, why the Flushing merger matters for your books, and when converting the PDF is the faster route.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Yes. OceanFirst supports QuickBooks, and its business treasury platform, OFBConnect, advertises Intuit Direct Connect for connecting accounts directly. Personal and small-business customers can typically link account activity through the standard QuickBooks bank-feed flow as well. What OceanFirst does not publish in detail is the Web Connect file-download path or any Direct Connect fees, and those specifics depend on your account type. When the live feed is unavailable or stops importing, converting the PDF statement gets every transaction into QuickBooks without relying on a connection.
OceanFirst connections tend to break for two reasons. First, the June 2026 Flushing merger means accounts are migrating between systems, and feeds commonly pause or drop during a core conversion until the new connection is set up. Second, business customers on OFBConnect log in with layered treasury credentials that QuickBooks aggregation cannot always authenticate, so the feed imports nothing. Converting the PDF avoids both, because the .qbo file imports the same way no matter what state the feed is in.
OceanFirst completed its acquisition of Flushing Financial, the parent of Flushing Bank, on June 1, 2026, and Flushing now operates as a division of OceanFirst. OceanFirst has not publicly detailed the core-conversion or account-relink timeline, so if you bank with Flushing, expect your QuickBooks connection to need re-establishing under OceanFirst once your accounts move. Until that settles, converting each PDF statement keeps your books current regardless of which system the account is on. If your account is still on the Flushing side, our Flushing Bank to QuickBooks guide covers it too.
Sign in to OceanFirst Digital Banking or OFBConnect, open the account, and look for the export or download option, choosing a QuickBooks or Web Connect format and a date range if it is offered. Business customers may instead connect through Direct Connect on OFBConnect. Import any QuickBooks file in QuickBooks Online through Transactions, then Bank transactions, then Upload from file, or in QuickBooks Desktop through File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. When no usable export exists, save the PDF statement and convert it with the tool above.
Log in to OceanFirst online banking, open the eStatements or documents area, choose the account and the month you need, and save it as a PDF. OceanFirst keeps several years of eStatement history available online, depending on when you enrolled, so most months you need are usually there. The converter reads any of these the same way, so an older statement and a current one both produce a clean .qbo file ready for QuickBooks.
Convert the OceanFirst PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, then Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and select the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, use File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to, then sends them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, exactly as a working feed would, without needing a live OceanFirst connection that may be mid-migration after the Flushing merger.
OceanFirst statements convert cleanly whether they come from a personal account or a business account on OFBConnect. They list transactions in date order with a description and an amount, separating deposits and credits from checks, withdrawals, and fees, with a beginning and ending balance summary. The converter strips out the summary boxes, fee tables, and inserts, so only real transactions reach your .qbo file, and it reads scanned or photographed statements through OCR the same way it reads a digital PDF.
Use a bank feed for ongoing activity once your OceanFirst account has a stable connection, since a live feed keeps QuickBooks current with little effort. Convert the PDF statement when the feed is mid-migration after the Flushing merger, when a treasury login on OFBConnect will not authenticate through aggregation, or when you need history the feed misses: statements older than the online window, opening balances for a new QuickBooks file, a catch-up period, or an account that changed systems in the 2026 integration.
Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a transaction costs far more time than it saves. The error usually surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, while you chase a few dollars across a long register. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line OceanFirst printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview first, then export once the numbers tie out.
Upload a PDF, see every transaction extracted in seconds. No card to try it.
