Novo is a small business banking platform with a built-in QuickBooks integration that loads your transactions and then syncs them every hour. The part that surprises people is the window: when you connect, Novo backfills only the previous year of activity, so anything older than about twelve months, anything from before you turned the integration on, or activity from a closed Novo account never reaches QuickBooks. If you are reconciling further back than that, upload a Novo PDF statement at the top of this page and get a QuickBooks-ready file for the exact months you need.
The converter turns a Novo bank PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the parsed total is checked against the statement total before you export. This page covers how Novo connects to QuickBooks, who Novo's bank is, and how to import the file for any month the sync misses.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Yes. Novo offers a native QuickBooks integration that, once connected, populates QuickBooks with your transaction history from the previous year and then keeps syncing new activity every hour. It removes the manual export for recent months, but the one-year backfill means earlier history and any pre-integration period still have to be brought in another way, which is where converting the statement helps.
No. Novo is a financial technology company, not a bank, and banking services are provided by Middlesex Federal Savings, F.A., Member FDIC. That matters in QuickBooks because the connection and any downloaded statement may reference Middlesex Federal Savings rather than the Novo brand, so match by the account and routing number when you set up or reconcile the account.
Novo's integration backfills only the previous year of transactions when you first connect, then syncs forward hourly, so anything beyond that twelve-month window will not appear in QuickBooks through the connection. That leaves a gap for older catch-up work, a prior fiscal year, or a closed account. Convert each Novo monthly statement to a .qbo and import it, and those earlier months land with nothing dropped.
Novo's built-in integration targets QuickBooks Online, where it syncs hourly once connected. QuickBooks Desktop does not receive that native hourly sync, so Desktop users bring transactions in through file imports. Converting a Novo statement to a .qbo gives Desktop a Web Connect file it imports directly, which also covers any month the one-year online sync window leaves out.
Aggregated feeds for Novo and Middlesex Federal Savings sometimes stop pulling new transactions after a credential or platform change, a problem users report in QuickBooks and Quicken. When that happens, you do not have to wait for the feed to recover to close your books. Download the affected month as a PDF, convert it to a .qbo, and import it so the gap is filled while the live connection is repaired. To avoid double entries once the feed recovers, import only the months that were missing and let QuickBooks match the rest against the restored sync.
Novo lets you export a statement or transaction list, often as a CSV or spreadsheet, but a CSV does not import itself into QuickBooks; you map the columns and add it manually. For a file that posts straight into the QuickBooks review queue, download the statement as a PDF and convert it to a .qbo with the tool above. If you already have a CSV export, a dedicated CSV to QBO converter turns it into the same importable file.
Sign in to Novo, open your account, and go to the statements or documents section. Choose the month you need and download the statement as a PDF. Novo issues a monthly statement for the account, so save the ones you still need in QuickBooks, including months beyond the one-year sync window, and the converter reads each one the same way.
Convert the Novo PDF to a .qbo with the converter above, then import it. In QuickBooks Online, open Transactions, then Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and select the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, use File, then Utilities, then Import, then Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to and routes them into the review queue for matching, just like the live sync.
Novo statements list transactions in date order with a description and an amount, separating deposits, card spend, transfers, and any fees, with opening and closing balances for the period. The converter ignores the summary panels and account details so only real transactions reach your .qbo file. It also reads scanned or exported PDFs through OCR the same way it reads a native download from the Novo app.
Accuracy is what matters most, because a converter that drops or misreads a line costs more time than it saves, and the error usually surfaces during reconciliation. This tool adds up the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo reflects every line the Novo statement printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview, then export once the numbers tie out.
Upload a PDF, see every transaction extracted in seconds. No card to try it.
