Busey Bank is the Champaign, Illinois bank founded in 1868 and run by First Busey Corporation (Nasdaq: BUSE). After a run of mergers it now holds about $18 billion in assets and operates banking centers across Illinois, Missouri, Texas, Kansas, Florida, Indiana, and several other states. If you bank at Busey and need your transactions in QuickBooks, upload a Busey Bank PDF statement at the top of this page to get a clean .QBO file.
The converter turns a Busey Bank PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the parsed total is checked against the statement total before you export. This page covers Busey's QuickBooks connection, the CrossFirst conversion that forced a relink, and how to import the file.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Yes, Busey Bank works with QuickBooks, and the bank publishes conversion guides for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Quicken. Those guides cover Web Connect, which produces a .qbo file, and Express Web Connect, the aggregated feed that signs in with your online banking credentials; Direct Connect is referenced for Quicken. When a feed will not authenticate, lags behind, or you need history older than it pulls, converting the PDF statement gives you the same transactions in a .qbo file QuickBooks imports directly.
If you were a CrossFirst Bank customer, your accounts moved to Busey in 2025 and the QuickBooks feed had to be relinked. First Busey completed the CrossFirst Bankshares merger on March 1, 2025, and the bank systems conversion ran the weekend of June 20, 2025, with former CrossFirst customers becoming Busey customers on June 23, 2025. A core conversion like that retires the old connection, so QuickBooks and Quicken users have to deactivate the prior feed and reconnect under Busey. Busey's own conversion instructions warn that Express Web Connect can be unavailable for several business days after the cutover, which is exactly when converting the PDF statement keeps your books current.
Busey supports QuickBooks through Web Connect, so a .qbo file can be downloaded or pulled when the feed is connected and working. The limitation is that a one-click download option is not clearly documented outside the conversion guides, and the feed itself was disrupted during the 2025 CrossFirst cutover. For older months, archived statements, or any stretch the feed will not produce, the reliable path is to take the PDF statement and convert it. The converter produces a .qbo file plus Excel and CSV copies, so you get a clean QuickBooks import without depending on the feed being healthy.
This page is about Busey Bank, the subsidiary of First Busey Corporation (Nasdaq: BUSE) headquartered in Champaign, Illinois. Busey has grown through several acquisitions in recent years, including Glenview State Bank in 2021, Merchants and Manufacturers Bank in 2024, and CrossFirst Bank in 2025, so customers may have come to Busey from any of those names. If you banked with one of the acquired institutions, your statements now carry the Busey brand and connect in QuickBooks under Busey.
Sign in to Busey online banking on the web or the mobile app, open the account, and go to the statements or documents area. Choose the account and the month you want and save the statement as a PDF. Busey builds eStatement history out to about eighteen months from when you enrolled, and statements generated before enrollment are not online, so older periods come from copies you saved. The converter reads any of these PDFs the same way, so a recent statement and one near the edge of the online window both produce a clean .qbo file.
Convert the Busey Bank PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, then Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and select the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, use File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to and then drops them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, the same way a live feed would. The workflow is identical whether your feed is connected or still being rebuilt after the CrossFirst conversion.
Busey eStatement history is built out to roughly eighteen months from your enrollment date, and anything generated before you enrolled is not available online. The transaction feed reaches a shorter window than the statements do. For tax prep, an audit, or a catch-up that goes past eighteen months, the online history runs out and you are left with the PDFs you saved. Converting those PDFs to .qbo is the way to get older Busey transactions into QuickBooks once they have rolled off the platform.
Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a transaction costs far more time than it saves. The error usually surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, while you chase a few dollars across a long register. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line Busey Bank printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview first, then export once the numbers tie out.
Busey serves a lot of commercial and small-business customers across its Illinois, Missouri, Texas, and Kansas footprint, and those transactions need to land in QuickBooks regardless of what the feed is doing. After the CrossFirst conversion forced a relink, the practical fallback is to import the statement by hand, and converting the PDF to .qbo is the cleanest way to do that. It is also the right tool for catching up several un-synced months, onboarding a new bookkeeper to an existing company file, reconciling periods older than the eighteen-month window, or pulling history together for a loan review or year-end taxes.

Start by uploading a Busey Bank statement in the converter above. If you came to Busey from CrossFirst, you can also convert statements from other Midwest banks, such as a Wintrust statement to QuickBooks or an Old National Bank statement to QuickBooks, the same way. If your books live in Excel instead, the same statement can become a spreadsheet with the bank statement to Excel converter, and teams drowning in supplier bills can pair it with accounts payable automation. You can also see how the underlying PDF to QBO converter works, follow the steps to import bank statements into QuickBooks Online, read about the QBO file format, or convert any bank's statement from the bank statement to QuickBooks converter home page.
