Kearny Bank is a regional savings bank, and savings banks rarely offer the premium QuickBooks Direct Connect feed that the big national banks do. The Fairfield, New Jersey institution (subsidiary of Kearny Financial Corp., Nasdaq: KRNY, roughly $7.7 billion in assets) is a federally chartered savings bank with branches across northern and central New Jersey plus Brooklyn and Staten Island. It does not publish a QuickBooks Direct Connect option, so getting Kearny activity into QuickBooks usually means a manual Web Connect download or an aggregated feed, both of which can fall short. Upload a Kearny Bank PDF statement to the converter at the top of this page and get the transactions into QuickBooks directly.
The converter turns a Kearny Bank PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the running total is checked against the statement before you export. Here is how Kearny accounts connect to QuickBooks, why a savings bank feed is often limited, and when converting the PDF is the faster route.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Kearny Bank offers personal and business online banking, but it does not advertise QuickBooks Direct Connect, so there is no premium two way feed. Where a connection is available, it runs through the aggregated bank feed or a manual Web Connect download, where you save a .qbo file and import it yourself. Aggregated feeds for smaller savings banks are less reliable than the big national banks and can stall or import nothing. Converting the PDF statement gives you clean data whether or not the feed connects, which is why many Kearny customers convert rather than wait on the feed.
Kearny Bank usually fails to connect because the only link available is an aggregated feed, and aggregation for a regional savings bank is the least dependable connection type. It can drop after an online banking update, prompt repeatedly for credentials, or import no transactions at all. Kearny also folded in earlier acquisitions such as Clifton Savings and MSB Financial, so an old institution name may still appear in QuickBooks and point at a profile that no longer exists. When the feed will not behave, converting the PDF statement with the tool above gets current transactions into QuickBooks right away.
Select the current Kearny Bank entry that matches kearnybank.com, not an older or merged name. Kearny acquired Clifton Savings Bank and MSB Financial in recent years, so QuickBooks may still list a retired entry for one of those institutions. Picking it points the feed at a connection that no longer matches your account. If you are unsure which entry is current, the cleaner option is to convert the PDF statement, which sidesteps the bank picker entirely and still lands the transactions in QuickBooks.
Log in to Kearny Bank online banking, open the account, and look for the export or download option, choosing the QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) format and a date range if it is offered. Import the .qbo in QuickBooks through Upload from file in QuickBooks Online, or File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files in QuickBooks Desktop. Because Kearny is a savings bank without Direct Connect, the export may be limited or unavailable on some account types. When there is no usable export, save the PDF statement and convert it instead.
Sign in to Kearny Bank online banking, open the account, and go to the statements or documents area, then choose the month and save it as a PDF. Business customers find statements in the documents section of the business platform. Online statement history is kept for a limited window, so older months may not be available through the website and have to be worked from a saved PDF. The converter reads any of these the same way, so an older statement and a current one both produce a clean .qbo file.
Convert the Kearny Bank PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and choose the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, go to File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to, then sends them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, exactly as a working feed would, without depending on an aggregated connection that a savings bank cannot always sustain.
Kearny Bank statements convert cleanly whether they come from a personal checking or savings account or a business relationship. They list transactions in date order with a description and amount, separating deposits and credits from checks, withdrawals, and fees, with a daily or ending balance summary. The converter strips out the summary boxes, fee tables, and marketing inserts, so only real transactions reach your .qbo file, and it reads scanned or photographed statements through OCR the same way it reads a digital PDF.
Use the feed for going forward activity if the aggregated connection happens to work on your account, since it keeps QuickBooks current with little effort. Convert the PDF statement when the feed stalls or imports nothing, when QuickBooks lists a retired Clifton Savings or MSB name, or when you need history the feed misses: statements older than the online window, opening balances for a new QuickBooks file, a catch up period, or a closed account.
Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a transaction costs far more time than it saves. The error usually surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, while you chase a few dollars across a long register. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line Kearny printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview first, then export once the numbers tie out.
Upload a PDF, see every transaction extracted in seconds. No card to try it.
