BMO, the bank that absorbed BMO Harris in the US, connects to QuickBooks through Web Connect downloads and the aggregated bank feed, and the feed has been one of the rockier ones since the Digital Banking migration. Users report Error 350 and a message that accounts from this provider cannot be connected right now, Error 377 telling them the old connection no longer works and must be reconnected, and stretches of weeks where the BMO feed imported nothing at all. When the connection breaks or you need history it does not reach, you can work straight from the statement instead. Upload a BMO PDF statement to the converter at the top of this page and get the transactions back in a format QuickBooks accepts.
The converter turns a BMO Bank PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the running total is checked against the statement before you export. Here is how BMO connects to QuickBooks, why the feed fails, and when converting the PDF is the better move.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Yes. BMO supports QuickBooks through Web Connect, where you download a .qbo file from BMO Digital Banking and import it, and through the aggregated bank feed in QuickBooks Online. Both move transactions one way into QuickBooks for matching and categorizing. Because the BMO feed has been unreliable since the platform migration, with connections that look normal but pull in no transactions, many users keep a converted-statement workflow ready: download the PDF, convert it to .qbo here, and import clean data whenever the live connection fails.
BMO feeds usually fail because of the move to BMO Digital Banking, which retired the old connection profile. QuickBooks users report Error 350 with the message that accounts from this provider cannot be connected right now, and Error 377 telling them the old connection no longer works and to reconnect with the newer one. Because the institution name changed from BMO Harris to BMO, you often have to disconnect the old account and relink to the current BMO entry in the bank list. While the feed is broken or returning no transactions, download the BMO PDF statement for the period you need, convert it to a .qbo file here, and import that so the account stays current.
Errors 350 and 377 both mean the saved BMO connection no longer works after the Digital Banking migration. Disconnect the BMO account from bank feeds in QuickBooks, then search the bank list again and relink to the current BMO entry, not the old BMO Harris one, signing in with your updated Digital Banking credentials. Note the date of your last successful import so you do not pull duplicate transactions. While you reconnect, download the PDF statement, convert it to .qbo with the tool above, and import the transactions manually so the books stay caught up.
Log in to BMO Digital Banking, open the account, and choose the option to download or export activity, then select the QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) format and a date range. Import that file in QuickBooks through Upload from file in QuickBooks Online, or File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files in Desktop. If the connection returns Error 350, the feed imports nothing after the migration, or the range only covers a short recent window, download the PDF statement for the period you need and convert it with the tool above instead.
Sign in to BMO Digital Banking, open the account, and go to the Statements and Documents section. Select the months you need and save each one as a PDF. BMO keeps several years of monthly statements online, far more than a fresh QuickBooks feed will import. If you need a period older than what shows in Digital Banking, BMO can provide archived statements on request, and those PDFs convert the same way as the ones you download yourself.
Convert the BMO PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and choose the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, go to File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to, then drops them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, exactly as a working BMO feed would, without the Error 350 or 377 reconnect loop.
BMO statements convert cleanly because the layout stays consistent month to month. Personal and business checking statements list transactions in date order with a description and amount, separating deposits and other credits from withdrawals, checks, and fees, with a running balance. Business accounts add analysis and service-charge sections, and BMO Mastercard statements list purchases, payments, and interest. The converter strips out the summary boxes, fee tables, and marketing inserts, so only real transactions reach your .qbo file, and it reads scanned or photographed BMO statements through OCR the same way it reads a digital PDF.
Use the BMO feed for going-forward activity when it is actually importing, since it keeps QuickBooks current with little effort. Convert the PDF statement when the feed throws Error 350 or 377, when it connects but pulls in nothing after the migration, or when you need history it misses: opening balances for a new QuickBooks file, a catch-up period, a closed account, or any month the download window does not cover. Because the BMO connection has been one of the less stable ones since the platform change, many cleanups rely on converted statements to stay on schedule.
Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a BMO transaction costs far more time than it saves. The error usually surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, while you chase a few dollars across a long register. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line BMO printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview first, then export once the numbers tie out.
