Brex provides corporate cards and a business account for startups and growing companies, with a direct integration into QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. The catch is that the Brex bank feed only syncs transactions from the last 90 days, so anything older than that never reaches QuickBooks through the connection. If you are catching up months of books, onboarding a new bookkeeper, or closing out a year, upload a Brex PDF statement at the top of this page and get a QuickBooks-ready file that covers the full period.
The converter turns a Brex business account PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the parsed total is checked against the statement total before you export. This page covers how Brex connects to QuickBooks, why older transactions go missing, and how to import the file for any month.
Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.
The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.
Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.
OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.
Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.
Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.
One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.
Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.
Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.
Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.
Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Yes. Brex integrates with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, syncing card and business account transactions into the bank feed so you can categorize and reconcile them. The integration carries new activity forward automatically, but it does not backfill history, so any transaction older than the 90-day sync window has to be brought in another way.
An admin signs in to QuickBooks Online, goes to Transactions, then Bank transactions, selects Link account, and searches for Brex (platform.brexapis.com). Choose the Brex accounts you want, assign each to a QuickBooks account, set a sync-from date, and connect. New transactions then flow into the bank feed automatically, where you review and match them like any other account.
Brex limits the integration to the last 90 days of activity, so transactions before that window will not sync no matter the start date you choose. That leaves a gap when you start books late, switch accounting systems, or reconcile a prior year. Convert each Brex monthly statement to a .qbo file and import it, and the full period lands in QuickBooks with nothing dropped.
No. Each Brex account can link to only a single QuickBooks Online company at a time. If you run multiple entities under one Brex login, the others have to be handled by exporting data or by setting up separate Brex accounts. Converting the statement to a .qbo lets you import the same Brex activity into any QuickBooks company you need, without changing the live connection.
From the Brex dashboard you can export transactions to a CSV, but a CSV does not post itself into QuickBooks; you still map and add it by hand, and it stops being a clean bank-feed import. For a file that imports directly into the QuickBooks review queue, download the statement as a PDF and convert it to a .qbo with the tool above. That keeps historical Brex spend in your books with the same dates and descriptions the statement shows, ready to reconcile against your card and account balances.
Sign in to Brex, open the business account or card, and go to the statements or documents area. Select the month you want and download the statement as a PDF. Brex issues a monthly statement for each account, so save the ones you still need in QuickBooks, including months beyond the 90-day sync window, and the converter reads each one the same way.
Convert the Brex PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import it. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, then Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and select the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, use File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to and routes them into the review queue for matching, exactly like a live feed.
Brex statements list transactions in date order with a description and an amount, grouping card spend, business account transfers, payments, and any fees, with opening and closing balances for the period. The converter ignores the summary panels, reward lines, and account details, so only real transactions reach your .qbo file. It also reads scanned or exported PDFs through OCR the same way it reads a native download.
Yes. Brex is primarily a corporate card, and the converter reads a Brex card statement the same way it reads a business account statement, building a .qbo from the dated charges, payments, and credits. Card transactions import into the matching QuickBooks credit card account rather than a checking account, so select the right account on upload and the spend lands in the review queue for coding.
Accuracy is what matters most, because a converter that drops or misreads a transaction costs more time than it saves, and the error usually surfaces weeks later during reconciliation. This tool adds up the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo reflects every line the Brex statement printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview, then export once the numbers tie out.
Upload a PDF, see every transaction extracted in seconds. No card to try it.
