Upload your bank statement

If your EverBank feed stopped downloading after the bank changed its name, you are not alone. EverBank operated as TIAA Bank from 2018 until the banking business was sold to a private investor group that closed July 31, 2023, at which point it went back to the EverBank name as EverBank, N.A. (Jacksonville, Florida, roughly $44 billion in assets, a nationwide online-first bank). That rebrand retired the old TIAA Bank connection in QuickBooks and Quicken, and many customers had to relink or just gave up on the feed. Upload an EverBank PDF statement to the converter at the top of this page and get the transactions into QuickBooks directly.

The converter turns an EverBank PDF statement into a .qbo Web Connect file that imports into QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, plus matching Excel and CSV copies. Every transaction keeps its date, description, and amount, and the running total is checked against the statement before you export. Here is how EverBank accounts connect to QuickBooks, why the TIAA Bank rebrand broke so many feeds, and when converting the PDF is the faster route.

A real .qbo file QuickBooks accepts

Built for the statements US banks actually send, checked before it exports.

Reconciliation

Every total checked against the statement

The converter adds up the transactions it parsed and matches that to the statement total before you export, so nothing is silently dropped.

Web Connect

A genuine .qbo, not a renamed CSV

Valid OFX 1.02 with QuickBooks Web Connect headers. Online and Desktop import it as a standard bank feed.

OCR

Scans and phone photos read line by line

OCR runs before parsing, so a scanned or photographed paper statement comes out the same as a digital PDF.

Volume

A year of statements in one batch

Bulk upload for catch-up and cleanup work. Each file gets its own reconciliation check and its own exports.

Locked files

Password-protected PDFs handled

Enter the password on upload. Multi-column and multi-page statement layouts are parsed too.

Exports

Excel and CSV in the same download

One conversion, three files: the .qbo for QuickBooks, an XLSX to review, and a CSV for everything else.

How to convert your statement to QuickBooks

Three steps. No column-mapping wizard.

1

Upload the PDF statement

Drag in a PDF, a scan, or a phone photo. Password-protected and multi-page files are fine.

2

Review the reconciled rows

Every transaction is extracted and checked against the statement total. You see the parsed rows before exporting.

3

Import into QuickBooks

Download the .qbo and import it as a Web Connect bank feed. Excel and CSV are in the same download.

Questions worth answering

The specifics that decide whether the import is clean. If your case is not here, email [email protected].

Does EverBank work with QuickBooks?

Yes, EverBank works with QuickBooks, but through Web Connect rather than an automated Direct Connect feed. EverBank's business online banking lists a download to QuickBooks using Web Connect, where you save a .qbo file and import it yourself, and it does not advertise Direct Connect. So there is no premium two way feed that pulls transactions on its own. Converting the PDF statement produces the same kind of .qbo file without logging into online banking each time, which is why many EverBank customers convert instead of fighting the download.

Why did my TIAA Bank connection stop working in QuickBooks?

Your TIAA Bank connection stopped working because the bank reverted to the EverBank name in 2023, and the old TIAA Bank profile in QuickBooks and Quicken no longer matches a live institution. After the change, the link points at a connection that has been retired, so downloads fail, prompt repeatedly for credentials, or import nothing. The fix is to disconnect the old TIAA Bank accounts and reconnect under the EverBank entry, but the relink does not always take. Converting the PDF statement gets current transactions into QuickBooks while you sort out the feed.

How do I relink EverBank after the TIAA Bank rebrand?

To relink, turn off the bank feed on each TIAA Bank account in QuickBooks first, then add the account again and search for the current EverBank entry rather than TIAA Bank. In QuickBooks Online that means disconnecting the account under Bank transactions, then reconnecting and choosing EverBank; in Quicken you clear the financial institution on the accounts and reconnect to the EverBank profile. If the new connection imports nothing or errors out, which several users have reported, download or save the PDF statement and convert it with the tool above instead.

How do I download EverBank transactions to QuickBooks?

Log in to EverBank business or personal online banking, open the account, and look for the download or export option, choosing the QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) format and a date range if offered. Import the .qbo in QuickBooks through Upload from file in QuickBooks Online, or File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files in QuickBooks Desktop. Business online banking keeps about 18 months of transaction history, so anything older has to be worked from a saved statement. When the export is limited or unavailable, save the PDF and convert it.

How do I download an EverBank statement as a PDF?

Sign in to EverBank online banking and open the Documents Center, where statements, notices, and tax documents are stored, then choose the month and save it as a PDF. Former Sterling Bank customers can pull up to two years of historical Sterling statements there after the transition. Online statement history is kept for a limited window, so older months may have to come from a statement you already saved. The converter reads any of these the same way, so an older statement and a current one both produce a clean .qbo file.

How do I import an EverBank statement into QuickBooks?

Convert the EverBank PDF to a .qbo file with the converter above, then import that file. In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions, Bank transactions, then Upload from file, and choose the .qbo. In QuickBooks Desktop, go to File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files. QuickBooks asks which account the transactions belong to, then sends them into the banking review queue for matching and categorizing, exactly as a working feed would, without depending on a connection that the TIAA Bank to EverBank change left unreliable.

What an EverBank statement looks like to the converter

EverBank statements convert cleanly whether they come from a personal checking, savings, or money market account or a business relationship. They list transactions in date order with a description and amount, separating deposits and credits from withdrawals, transfers, and fees, with a balance summary. The converter strips out the summary boxes, interest tables, and marketing inserts, so only real transactions reach your .qbo file, and it reads scanned or photographed statements through OCR the same way it reads a digital PDF.

When to convert versus connect the feed

Use the feed for going forward activity if the EverBank Web Connect download works on your account, since it keeps QuickBooks current. Convert the PDF statement when the feed stalls after the rebrand, when QuickBooks still lists a retired TIAA Bank name, or when you need history the feed misses: statements older than the online window, opening balances for a new QuickBooks file, a catch up period, or a closed account.

How accurate is the converted EverBank file?

Accuracy is the part that matters most, because a converter that quietly drops or misreads a transaction costs far more time than it saves. The error usually surfaces during reconciliation, sometimes weeks later, while you chase a few dollars across a long register. This converter totals the transactions it parsed and checks that figure against the statement total before it lets you export, so the .qbo you import reflects every line EverBank printed. You review the parsed rows in the preview first, then export once the numbers tie out.
