Docyt's Accounting Suite starts at $299 per property per month, billed monthly on an annual plan, with unlimited users and every integration included. Catch-up accounting is a separate fee of $200 for each month of books brought current, and historical data migration is quoted per month migrated unless you are on a portfolio plan. One hotel on the entry suite costs at least $3,588 a year.

That is not the price most of the web still quotes. Review sites and AI summaries describe Docyt as a small-business bookkeeping tool with tiers of $299 for 200 transactions, $499 for 500, $799 for 1,000 and $999 and up beyond that. Docyt's own pricing page no longer publishes any of those tiers. It now sells itself as an AI-native ERP for hotels, restaurants, retailers and franchises, and it prices by property or location, not by transaction count.

Figures below were read from Docyt's pricing, integrations and catch-up accounting pages in October 2026, in US dollars before tax. The $299 figure also matches the Offer price in the structured data embedded in Docyt's pricing page. Confirm on the vendor page before you sign.

Docyt sells three suites that run on one ledger. You can buy the Accounting Suite alone, add the Payments or Business Intelligence suites on top, or take all three as the Enterprise Suite. Only two dollar figures appear on the page for the suites themselves.

All hotel plans include unlimited users, all integrations, onboarding and training, and no exit penalty. The contract is annual even though the invoice arrives monthly, so the $299 is a twelve-month commitment rather than a month you can walk away from. Restaurants, retailers and multi-unit franchises are priced per location on the same suites, but Docyt prints no number for them.

Why most Docyt price quotes online are out of date

If you searched Docyt pricing because a client or colleague mentioned it as an AI bookkeeping tool for QuickBooks, the numbers you found probably describe a product Docyt has moved away from. Here is how the common claims compare with what the vendor publishes now.

Claim you will see onlineWhat Docyt's own page says in October 2026
$299 a month for up to 200 transactions$299 per property per month for the Accounting Suite, no transaction cap mentioned
$499, $799 and $999+ tiers by transaction volumeNo transaction tiers published at all
Modules from $50 a monthNo per-module price published; the only standalone figure is Daily Flash from $100 per location
Small-business bookkeeping software"AI-native ERP for brick and mortar businesses", with hotels as the lead market
Monthly, cancel any timeAnnual plans billed monthly, no exit penalties

None of this means the older tiers were wrong when they were written. It means the buyer they were written for, a small business with a few hundred transactions a month, is no longer who Docyt prices for. A third-party quote is only as good as the date it was read, which is why we state ours.

What Docyt costs per year for one to ten properties

Because the Accounting Suite is priced per property, cost scales in a straight line until portfolio pricing kicks in. Docyt says portfolio rates scale down with property count but does not say where the breaks fall, so the figures below use the published floor and are an upper bound for larger groups.

PropertiesAccounting Suite per monthPer year at the published floorPlus a 12-month catch-up
1$299$3,588$5,988
3$897$10,764$13,164
5$1,495$17,940$20,340
10$2,990$35,880Bundled into the onboarding quote

The catch-up column assumes one year of books brought current at $200 a month. Docyt's catch-up page says the fee holds "no matter how many properties or years of history", and its FAQ says portfolios get catch-up bundled into onboarding, so treat the larger rows as a starting point for negotiation rather than a quote.

What the $200 catch-up fee buys

Docyt's catch-up service is the part of its pricing most relevant to a bookkeeper, because it competes directly with doing the work yourself. For $200 per month of history, Docyt imports historical bank, card, PMS and POS data, lets its AI categorize and reconcile the transactions, and has in-house accountants review exceptions. It asks for bank and card access or statements to start.

A business that is a year behind pays $2,400 for that service, quoted up front. That is a fair price for a hotel whose revenue also has to be rebuilt from the property management system. For a contractor, a medical practice or a retailer whose missing history is mostly bank and card statements, most of that $2,400 pays for work a statement converter does in an afternoon. Our catch-up bookkeeping workflow for QuickBooks shows how a year of PDF statements becomes importable .qbo files.

Who Docyt is priced for, and who it is not

Docyt makes sense for a hotel group or a multi-unit operator that wants revenue posted nightly from its property management or point-of-sale system, continuous reconciliation, and an accountant assigned to the account. The per-property price buys a service layer as much as software, and for a portfolio that replaces three to five separate systems the math can work.

It is a harder sell for an independent bookkeeper or a small firm serving ordinary small businesses. The annual commitment, the per-location unit and the demo-first sales process are built for operators with budgets measured per property. If your clients are a dentist, a roofer and two online shops, none of them has a property management system for Docyt to read, and paying $299 a month each to reconcile their bank accounts is hard to justify. Dedicated bank reconciliation software or a converter feeding QuickBooks covers that work for far less.

A cheaper route when you only need statements in QuickBooks

Docyt syncs two ways with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, so many buyers come to it with one goal: get bank and card activity into QuickBooks without retyping it. If that is the whole job, compare what each route charges for it.

RoutePriceUnitGets PDF statements into QuickBooks
Docyt Accounting SuiteFrom $299 a month, annual contractPer propertyYes, through bank connections, statements and GL sync, plus revenue posting
Docyt catch-up accounting$200Per month of historyYes, done by Docyt's team
BankQBO Plus$149 a month, or $74 a month billed annually ($888 a year)Per account, not per clientYes, converts PDF and scanned statements to .qbo files you import
BankQBO demo3 statements, once, no cardOne timeYes, to test accuracy on your own statements

The .qbo export sits on our Plus plan, not Starter, so Plus is the fair comparison. A bookkeeper converting statements for ten clients pays the same $149 a month as one converting for two, which is the opposite of a per-property model. If you want to see how other tools in this space charge, the Ledgersync pricing breakdown covers a per-client bank feed service and the Hubdoc pricing guide covers document capture. Firms running statements for many clients can read how bank statement to QuickBooks for accountants handles volume, or start on the BankQBO pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Docyt cost?

Docyt's Accounting Suite starts at $299 per property per month on an annual plan billed monthly. The Payments and Business Intelligence suites are add-ons with no published price, the Enterprise Suite is quoted, and Daily Flash alone starts at $100 per location per month. Catch-up accounting costs $200 per month of books caught up.

Does Docyt have a free trial?

Docyt's pricing page does not advertise a free trial. It sells through scheduled demos and mentions paid pilots that are credited against the first year. Some review sites still describe a short free trial for small businesses; if one matters to you, ask sales directly before you plan around it.

Does Docyt charge per user?

No. Docyt prices per property or location, and every plan includes unlimited users, all integrations, onboarding and training. The cost grows with the number of hotels, restaurants or stores you run, not with the number of people who log in.

Does Docyt integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. Docyt's integrations page lists two-way general ledger sync with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, alongside Xero, Sage Intacct and NetSuite. It also offers migration off QuickBooks into its own ledger, which is worth knowing if you intend to stay on QuickBooks long term.

Is Docyt worth it for a small business?

For a single hotel or a restaurant group that wants nightly revenue posting and an assigned accountant, it can be. For a typical small business that mainly needs bank and card statements in QuickBooks, $3,588 a year is a lot to pay for that one job, and a flat-priced statement converter covers it for a fraction of the cost.

Is there a cheaper Docyt alternative for bookkeepers?

For bookkeepers whose clients send PDF bank and card statements, a converter that produces .qbo files is usually the cheaper route. It charges one plan price regardless of how many clients you serve, so ten small-business clients cost the same as two. Docyt's per-property model only pays off when you also need its revenue and close services.
