Two things stand out. First, Business is the value tier and Enterprise is not cheaper per page, it just raises the ceiling. Second, pages do not roll over on monthly plans, so a quota you only half use every month is money gone. Count your actual statement pages for a normal month before you pick, not your best month or your worst.

What counts as a page

A page is a page of a document, not a statement and not a transaction. A business checking statement with 40 transactions might be six pages. Three accounts across a quarter is easily 50 to 60 pages on its own, which is the entire Starter quota. This is the single most common budgeting mistake people make with any per page extraction tool, ours included.

Does DocuClipper export QBO files for QuickBooks?

Yes. DocuClipper exports QBO Web Connect files as well as QFX, OFX, QIF, IIF, CSV and Excel, and it offers a direct push into QuickBooks Online and Xero. If your only requirement is getting a PDF statement into QuickBooks as a .qbo file, DocuClipper does that on every paid plan, including the $20 Starter tier. That is worth saying plainly, because it is the question people arrive with and a lot of comparison pages dodge it.

The moment you cross 640 pages, DocuClipper moves you to Enterprise at $360 a month while our Plus plan stays at $149 for up to 10,000 base AI pages. On annual billing the crossover comes earlier still, because our $74 a month sits just under DocuClipper's $77.70 Business tier while covering roughly fifteen times the pages.

So the buying rule is simple. A solo bookkeeper doing a handful of clients should look hard at DocuClipper Starter. A firm running catch up work, lending files or a few hundred statements a month is in the band where the two are close and the decision comes down to accuracy and formats. A team past a thousand pages a month is paying a large premium to stay on a per page plan sized for smaller work.

Is DocuClipper worth it for accountants and bookkeepers?

For most small firms, yes, and the format coverage is genuinely broader than ours. Where we would argue for ourselves is documents that fight back: scanned or photographed statements, statements with multi page transaction tables, and any file where the extracted total has to match the paper exactly. We reconcile against the statement's own running balance and surface the mismatch instead of handing you a clean looking export that is quietly short two transactions. Firms comparing extraction tools usually have a second pile of paper waiting behind the bank statements, and receipts are their own problem with their own tooling, so it is worth pulling receipt and invoice data into a spreadsheet separately rather than burning statement page quota on them.
